After completing my medical degree, I chose to specialize in psychiatry and psychotherapy, driven by the conviction that there is nothing more fascinating than the world that constitutes the "intrapsychic" reality of each of us. With this curiosity and a deep respect for the universe of the Other, I sit each day with those who seek my help to face challenges that, at times, seem insurmountable on their own. Every encounter is an opportunity to bring to bear the wealth of skills and knowledge I have developed over years of study and practice, with the aim of alleviating psychological and psychosomatic suffering. For me, therapy is a shared journey, a team effort that requires collaboration and mutual trust.
Education and Professional Experience
After completing my specialization in Psychiatry with honors (50/50) at the University of Cagliari, with a psychodynamic-phenomenological orientation, and training in Cognitive-Constructivist Psychotherapy (ATC School - Rome), I had the opportunity to work under the supervision of Dr. Leonardo Mendolicchio in the field of eating disorders.
Subsequently, I served as a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist at the Clinica Viarnetto in Lugano, where I expanded my psychodynamic training. Currently, I work with an integrative psychotherapeutic approach that combines these two frameworks.
Since 2022, I have been working at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich (Psychiatrische Universitätsklinik Zürich) as a Consultant in the Department of Forensic Psychiatry, where I focus on both psychiatric assessments and clinical management.
In my clinical and pharmacological approach, I adhere to the most up-to-date guidelines of the Swiss Society of Psychiatry, tailoring them to the specific realities of each patient. My goal is to offer a "tailored" intervention, customized to the unique needs of each individual.
